The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on 28th June 1914, triggered a chain of events that resulted in World War 1.
Wind the clock forward to December 1, 1914. Location a small car repair shop in Bologna, Italy.
It was on that day that four brothers, Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ernesto, and Ettore, came together to build a business, fast forward more than a century again that small business has become an empire known as Maserati.
If you have been following my blogs, you would know two of my favourite cars are Mustang and an Aston Martin.
In my eyes, they can’t do wrong, but even I, can not pass by a Maserati and not feel my skin tingle with excitement.
The sheer beauty of their cars, is like having Cameron Diaz, changing your gear whilst singing, “I want you back” by Jackson 5.
My dreams can sometimes be weird and some what outside the realms of reality, but there is no doubts in my mind, the same can’t be said for Maserati.
The reality in case of Maserati are, well real. They ooze style, sophistication and luxury.

1- Maserati Alfieri
At 2014 Geneva motor show, Maserati unveiled the “Alfieri”, named after one the main founding fathers of the company.
Initially scheduled for 2018 release, which is now rescheduled for around 2020-2021, this 2+2 Coupé is rumoured to draws heavily on A6GCS design of 1950.
Not much else is known about what platform or even what the finished styling is going to be like, Maserati it seems has decided to leave the design sign-off until 2018 for a 2020 sales launch.
2- Maserati A6GCS/53
Starting in 1953 just four of these were made, cementing a strong partnership between Maserati and Pininfarina.ACGCS/53 is not so much of a road car, is a racing pedigree with all the elegance and beauty Maserati can muster. It is simply the most famous car Maserati has ever built, with a price tag to match, so be prepared to payout a tidy sum around £2,000,000.The money is irrelevant, you are not buying a car here, your simply purchasing a piece of history.
3- Maserati 3500 GT
Another piece of history from Maserati. The launch of 3500 GT, is hailed as the first successful release of Gran Turismo range from Maserati between 1957 and 1964.
This 2 door grand tourer was produced in either hard top or convertible, with the main sell hitting the Maserati cash Register being from the hard top version.
