New McLaren Models: The 750S and Solus GT

Leading the parade of McLaren’s dynamic debuts at the festival are the 750S V8 supercar and the Solus GT, a single-seat, closed-cockpit marvel. These new models will be displayed alongside other iconic McLaren models, including the high-performance hybrid V6 supercar, the Artura.

The 750S, equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivers a power-to-weight ratio that surpasses its nearest rivals. With an impressive power output of 750PS and a torque of 800Nm, this supercar can hit 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds.

Shifting gears from virtual to reality, the Solus GT is a track-only car, a real-life version of a concept from the Gran Turismo SPORT video game. Limited to just 25 units, all of which have been sold, the Solus GT is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine that can rev beyond 10,000rpm.

McLaren Models in Action

Apart from the 750S and Solus GT, the festival will witness the Artura, McLaren’s first V6 hybrid supercar, in Hillclimb action. Other McLaren models, including the P1™ hypercar, Senna, Elva, and the very first production 12C, will also be part of the hillclimb.

The festival attendees can also expect to see a collection of McLaren’s greatest racing machines in a moving motor show on the Hillclimb, a ‘McLaren Moment’ that will take place each day of the festival.

Embracing the Future with New Models

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021

McLaren CEO, Michael Leiters, states, “The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the ideal event to celebrate six decades of thrilling performance. We will be showcasing our current model range, alongside iconic cars from our past, and two global dynamic debuts, strengthening the foundations for a new Future of Performance for McLaren”.

As McLaren celebrates its 60th anniversary, the company continues to inspire with its forward-thinking vision, bridging the past, present, and future of automotive performance. The 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed promises to be an exciting stage for McLaren’s celebration of 60 years in the industry and the unveiling of its dynamic new models.
