Yet another review about Nissan Qashqai. Right? Well yes, this review is about the Qashqai, but not about any ordinary run of the mill Qashqai.

Oh no, this is a beautiful story about the 2000 bhp, 237.6 mph Nissan Qashqai. This is a story about the new world’s fastest SUV after it had finished a run at V-Max 200 in our great rainy Britain.

I bet, that got your attention.

V-Max 200

I have recently been introduced to V-Max 200. It is an annual event held on the disused World War II airfields that you find dotted around the British countryside.

Apparently that is a good enough excuse to let those of us who can afford to buy a supercar to get out there and try to max their precious possession.

This year winner was a Koenigsegg Agera RS hitting a staggering 242.43 mph, and of course our little SUV (recording a monumental 238 mph) built and designed right here in UK.

There are moments like this, that makes you feel proud to be British (well I am dual national, which is beside the point, but you get the drift).

If you take a peek, and most probably you have guessed by now, this is no ordinary crossover.

Underneath, it houses a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine, transmission, and chassis—from a Nissan GT-R.

They added a monstrous turbo kit from Extreme Turbo Systems, a whole bunch re-forged internal parts, and some software tuning, sprinkled some faerie magic dust, and BOOM the result is a car forged in heart of Britain.

This is basically a GT-R with a crossover body, for those cynical individuals out there, and yes, in reality Toyota Land Cruiser is an actual full-size SUV, while the Qashqai Doesn’t really fall into that category.

However, this is all about feat of engineering, where men (possibly women) and machine clash, in an eternal struggle to achieve the impossible.

So if you have a prized possession and want to see what it really can do, except school drops and shopping trips, why don’t you just head out to the next event, take spare pants and see what you can do.
