There are over 300 car models alone on the streets of U.K, which means the every car manufacturer needs to keep each and everyone of them up to date if they want to stay competitive and in the game.
Audi has been in the game for a while now and along with BMW and Mercedes-Benz, are among the best-selling luxury automobile brands in the world.
Audi range of cars is rather impressive and they do provide cars covering all spectrum, from A1 Super-mini all the way up to gigantic Q7.
2017 was simply another year to increase and update their range, and here I will try to bring some of them to your attention.
1. Audi A5 Sportback
A5 coupe which is already on sale, soon will be joined by the A5 Sportback. The engine range comprises two petrols and three diesels,
At the other end of the spectrum sits the Audi S5 Sportback, with a 349bhp engine good enough for 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds.
2. Audi A6
The new Audi A6 joins the market just about the right time when BMW and Mercedes Benz have taken upon themselves to also update their executive Saloon class range.
In case of A6, the update simply means that it gets all the new engine and gearbox technologies, which also includes electronic super chargers.
On the outside, A6 features 17” alloy wheels and Xenon headlights, and the people in Audi did not forget to update and enhance the interior either.
The Audi A6 features enhancements such as SD card based Satellite Navigation, four-zone climate control and leather interior.
3. Audi A6 All-road
Not much news have been fed through the grapevine, but what We’ve been drip-fed hints at number of concept cars at what the next A6 will look like.
This will include the Prologue All-road that last was unveiled at the 2016 Shanghai Motor Show. The look resembles that of an estate version of what we think the Audi A6 will look like. However this model will most likely be with jacked-up suspension and some rugged bodywork.
Quite how close this is to the production version, we can’t be completely certain, but should be close enough.
The Prologue All-road features a 724bhp petrol-electric hybrid system, another guess from me but in reality that probably won’t make it into the production model, but we just have to wait and see, how Audi wants to play this.
Prices for the next-generation Audi A6 All-road are expected to start at around £47,000, add few options her and there and the price will hick up close to around £60,000.
4. Audi Q5
The range is getting old and it was about time Audi showed it some love and care to bring it back into the fold.
The all new Q5 interior is upgraded and brought in line with the same technology found in the latest Audi A4, which will including the excellent Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display.
Prices are likely to start around £31,000 for front-wheel-drive models and £33,000 if you want Audi’s quattro four-wheel-drive system.
5. R8 Spyder
The little Spyder is simply one of the fasted drop top in the world, and that is simply thanks to its V10 533 bhp 5.2 Liter engine.
The roof takes around 20 seconds to go up or down and can be operated while the car is moving at speeds of up to 31mph.
The Audi virtual cockpit is also included in this Model, allows the driver to switch between viewing the instruments, sat nav and media situated behind the wheel.
All sounds good, but I’am sorry to say that you have to pay for all these snazzy equipment’s, and that’s around £129,000 if you want to be exact.
6. Audi SQ2
It hasn’t been long since the release of Q2, and Audi being a busy bee, are pushing hard to release her sister in the form of SQ2.
The SQ2’s engine is likely to be shared with S3 range. That means it’ll pack a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit with a modest output of 360 BHP.
Now pair this with Audi’s quattro four-wheel-drive system and a DSG automatic gearbox, then you have a small tiger cub bench-marking 0-62mph sprint in around five seconds.
This is comfortably quicker than current performance crossovers on the market, the Nissan Juke Nismo RS and Mini Countryman JCW.
Pricing, Our best guesstimate puts the Q2 range priced close to the A3 hatchback models, in the region of £31,000-£33,000.
7. TT RS
Let’s cast our minds back, to Audi version of inter continental missile (or may be as an Iranian, I should stop using any kind of reference to any missile related commentary) aptly names as Audi RS Spyder.
That little ballistic missile (oops, I did it again), packed a serious amount of raw power which was matched by it’s £130,000 price tag.
So if you don’t have that amount of money tucked away in your pillowcases or shoe boxes, then the TT RS might just be the car for you.
looking at the numbers, the 395bhp turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine, quattro four-wheel-drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, it’ll do 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds – just 0.1 seconds slower than the Spyder.
All the for only £52,000, by no means cheap, but far less pricey than Audi RS Spyder.
